Bayer Leverkusen’s head coach, Xabi Alonso, has emerged as the leading candidate to succeed Carlo Ancelotti at Real Madrid. While Alonso remains under contract with Leverkusen until 2026, the German club has indicated they would not obstruct his potential return to Madrid.

Following Real Madrid’s recent Champions League exit, speculation has intensified regarding Ancelotti’s future, with reports suggesting he may depart at the season’s end. Alonso, a former Real Madrid midfielder, is reportedly the club’s top choice to take over the managerial role.
